Privacy Smartglass panels RAP-PSL40 incorporate randomly oriented liquid crystal particles that provide instant switching between the opaque and clear states. When in the opaque state vision must be prevented from both sides of the glass, in addition complete privacy must be maintained when an object is placed 150mm away from the surface of the panel when viewed from the other side. ln the off state (no power) the glass hasan opaque appearance; on connection of low voltage the liquid crystal particles rearrange to allow the film to become clear allowing sight through the material.
